Got a question for the therapist
We can all, at points in our lives, feel beaten and overwhelmed by psychological issues. Sometimes, these feelings can be short term; sometimes they can be with us over many years, so that it’s difficult to imagine feeling any differently. At these times, we may feel the need to turn to someone to help make sense of what is happening. Psychotherapy or counselling can help us to explore what is challenging us, and move our lives forward again.
I am an experienced United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) accredited psychotherapist, and I trained at the University of Kent.
I offer individual psychodynamic psychotherapy and will work with you either in a shorter term, solution-focused manner, when addressing specific problems in the here-and-now, or longer term in a psychoanalytically-based model, when exploring deep seated issues which require a longer term intervention. I work with all adults but I do have particular experience in working with LGBT clients, and I am an accredited Pink Therapy gender and sexual diversity therapist.
I work with a broad range of issues including:
- Separation issues
- Low self esteem
- Gay, lesbian, bisexual and other sexualities
- Gender identity
- The impacts of trauma or abuse
- Interpersonal or relationship difficulties.
I offer sessions during the day, early morning and early evening on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays
I look forward to hearing from you.
